Overview
Day 1: Manali – Atal Tunnel – Sissu – Keylong
Begin your journey from Manali and drive through the Atal Tunnel, bypassing Rohtang Pass. Stop at Sissu to enjoy waterfalls and scenic landscapes. Continue to Keylong, the administrative center of Lahaul Valley. Overnight stay in Keylong.
Day 2: Keylong – Jispa – Darcha – Shinku La – Padum
Drive through Jispa and Darcha, enjoying river valleys and rugged terrain. Cross the Shinku La Pass (4,911 m) and descend into Padum, the heart of Zanskar Valley. Overnight stay in Padum.
Day 3: Padum Local Sightseeing
Visit Shila Waterfall, the majestic Karsha Monastery, and Stongdey Monastery, known for its murals and architecture. Explore the surrounding villages and Himalayan landscapes. Overnight stay in Padum.
Day 4: Padum – Sani Lake – Drang Drung Glacier – Pensi La – Rangdum Monastery – Padum
Take an excursion to Sani Lake and witness the massive Drang Drung Glacier. Cross Pensi La Pass, the gateway between Zanskar and Lahaul, and visit Rangdum Monastery. Return to Padum for overnight stay.
Day 5: Padum – Bardan Monastery – Raru Lake – Ichar (Buddha Statue) – Purne
Explore Bardan Monastery, visit Raru Lake, and stop at Ichar Village to see its iconic Buddha Statue. Continue to Purne for overnight stay.
Day 6: Purne – Phugtal Monastery Trek – Gonbo Rangjon
Trek from Purne to Phugtal Monastery, a unique monastery built into a cliffside. After the trek, drive to Gonbo Rangjon for overnight stay.
Day 7: Gonbo Rangjon – Shinku La – Darcha – Manali
Start the return journey, crossing Shinku La Pass again. Drive through Darcha and Jispa, enjoying Himalayan landscapes before reaching Manali. End of tour.
